The Role:

  • As a Building Safety Project Manager, you will lead the charge in ensuring the safety and integrity of Newham Council's housing portfolio.
  • This includes managing building safety inspections, overseeing cladding systems, conducting compartmentation surveys, and developing essential Safety Case Files and Reports in line with the Building Safety Regulator's standards.
  • Working within the Building Safety Team, you'll identify necessary remediation actions, supervise external fire engineers and safety specialists, and manage all statutory compliance to maintain the highest safety standards in high-rise blocks.


The Candidate:

  • Extensive knowledge of building construction and safety regulations, with a clear understanding of the Building Safety Bill.
  • Demonstrable project management experience, ideally within a housing or construction setting.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external specialists.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety, experience with high-rise buildings, and familiarity with data management practices in building safety.
