Building Safety Project Manager
Location: East London
Rate: 400 per day (Umbrella)

A London Local Authority is seeking a dedicated Building Safety Project Manager to join their Building Safety Team, managing a range of safety-critical tasks across their housing portfolio.
Key Responsibilities As a Building Safety Project Manager, you will:
  1. Develop Safety Case Files and Reports:
    • Lead the creation and submission of Building Safety Case Files and Building Safety Case Reports.
    • Manage applications to the Building Safety Regulator for Building Assessment Certificates.
  2. Building Inspections and Compliance:
    • Inspect buildings to ensure fire and structural safety, focusing on tall blocks.
    • Oversee cladding inspections (including EWS1) and compartmentation surveys.
    • Ensure compliance with MHCLG consolidated guidance and industry standards.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Collaborate with fire engineers, surveyors, residents, leaseholders, and other key stakeholders.
    • Provide clear and regular updates to residents regarding safety measures and remediation plans.
  4. Remediation Planning and Delivery:
    • Prepare detailed reports identifying remediation needs.
    • Work closely with internal teams to expedite repairs and improvements efficiently.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Strong knowledge of building construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • In-depth understanding of the Building Safety Bill, emerging regulations, and guidance.
  • Proven experience managing construction or safety projects within occupied residential buildings.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
