Job Title: Building Safety Project Manager (Resident Engagement)

Location: Newham

Duration: 3 - 6 months temp assignment with view for further extension thereafter

Day Rate: 310.39 per day PAYE or 400 per day Umbrella

  • The role will be to deliver the council's building safety resident engagement strategy
  • To review and amend as required the Building Safety Resident Engagement Strategy
  • Liaison with Building Safety Regulator as necessary
  • Work with the Housing Resident Engagement team to support the High Rise Living residents group
  • Prepare and issue resident communications to support Building Assessment Certificate applications
  • Liaison with internal council teams, residents, contractors and consultants
  • Work with the wider housing and resident liaison team to develop and implement effective systems of communication with residents and develop and deliver appropriate safety information for each building in scope

Key Experience required:

  • Experience of working on construction projects with residents in occupation
  • Experience of investigating and resolving building defects
  • Experience of working in private sector/public sector property maintenance, housing or construction environment
  • Experience of dealing with complex construction projects
  • Professionally qualified of CIOB, RICS, APM
  • A demonstrable understanding of building regulations and the requirements of the Building Safety legislation
  • Knowledge of the requirements for good building safety management and processes
  • Good stakeholder engagement knowledge and experience
  • Excellent project management knowledge and experience
