Join a dynamic team dedicated to enhancing safety and security in one of London's most vibrant boroughs. We are a currently looking for a Project Manager - Fire Safety on an interim basis.

£350 - £400 Umbrella

Initial 3 months, with opportunity to be extended further.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to oversee our fire safety initiatives in Camden. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with regulations and delivering high-quality solutions on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reports to the Fire Safety Manager
  • Responsible for managing the FRA process and ensuring actions are issued, managed, and completed.
  • Is responsible for chairing FRA Task Group meetings.
  • To ensure the successful delivery of fire safety, FRA actions and to support senior management and management teams in doing the same.
  • The post holder will prepare and present KPI reports on the fire safety programme.
  • Be comfortable with using a range of software, databases and a strong user of all Microsoft tools.
  • Work in partnership with Building Safety Team to dEvelop an appropriate fire safety procedure to comply with legislation and the Council's policies and procedures.
  • The post holder will work collaboratively with all teams to deliver positive outcomes and maintain resident safety.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including fire enforcement bodies, contractors, and partners.
  • To help develop policies and procedures to the support the work of the team and department.
  • To carry out such other duties within the competence of the post holder which may be reasonably required from time to time.

Qualifications:

  • Membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, the Chartered Institute of Builders, Association of Project Managers, NEBOSH construction certificate is desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing fire safety projects, preferably in a municipal or urban setting.
  • Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations, codes, and standards, including relevant legislation such as the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully leading project teams to achieve goals.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Project Management Professional, Chartered Fire Engineer) are desirable but not essential.
