We're hiring a GSE Technician to join our team at our Glasgow Airport site. Our client is a market leader in Ground Service Equipment (GSE) repair and maintenance, where you'll have the chance to work with a range of specialised airport equipment.

Position Details:

  • Working Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 06:00-14:30 or 08:00-16:30, with an on-call roster

Overtime Rate: 1.55x

On-Call Allowance: £10.50 per day, plus hours worked if called in

Salary: £37,925 per annum  

 

Key Responsibilities:

In this varied role, you will be essential to our team's success, using your expertise to diagnose and repair a variety of airport equipment, including:

  • Towing tractors
  • Aircraft tugs
  • Baggage elevators
  • Other specialized airport vehicles

Duties include:

  • Conducting diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on GSE
  • Implementing mechanical solutions to keep all equipment operational
  • Collaborating with the team to maintain high standards in maintenance

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum Level 3 City & Guilds certification in Motor Mechanics or equivalent (required)
  • Experience with commercial or plant vehicles (essential)
  • Welding skills (desirable) 

Additional Requirements:

  • Demonstrated Right to Work in the UK
  • Ability to obtain an airside pass (requires criminal record check and 5-year history verification)
  • Valid UK driving license
  • Certification for all relevant qualifications
