Maintenance Technician

Location: All over London, van will be supplied, Clean Licence (*up to 3 points will be looked at)

Calling all Maintenance Technician/Handyperson!!

The Role                    

Our client’s team is expanding and they looking for a full time Maintenance Technician.

You will be doing residential properties repairs, such as painting, change silicon, change locks, initial checks for leaks/drainage blockage, change taps, change broken tiles etc across London.  Don't worry if you can't do everything yet as you will have a mentor the first few weeks if needed..

You would need to be able to drive a van, otherwise a motorbike. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Able to drive round London doing maintenance repairs, upload report via apps to their internal systems from photos, receipts for relevant departments to action.
  • Report property condition for check in/out purposes, fixing immediate areas of damage and fix
  • Securing broken items, under H&S, general clean and tidy up, until more specialist repair teams can arrive.
  • Send daily reports via photo and video for all relevant departments to action, from maintenance to accounts.
  • Report repaired on site and what is outstanding issues, need needing more time or specialist repairs.
  • Proven experience in all types of general repairs; kitchen, bathroom repairs, minor installations, grouting, small plumbing repairs, fittings, floor, fire door installations and other ad-hoc repairs and jobs.
  • Deliver and remove furniture and unwanted items from properties, company yard, property sanitising.
  • Follow necessary processes for parking and deliveries, ensure you don't get traffic offences.
  • This is not an exhaustive list and may be adjusted according to the demands of the business.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Clean Driving licence (*no more than 3 points)
  • Good knowledge of English oral and written and a good work ethic. 
  • Be comfortable using some technology for reporting purposes, such as mobile and computer applications; Outlook emails, Teams, other maintenance or employee apps.
  • Work to tight deadlines and react to last minute changes, reliable with a good attitude.
  • Pro-active and detail oriented.
