Company Overview - Contract Manager

Our Client are currently looking for an Contract Manager to join their highly valued team on a full-time basis.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Contracts Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities and technical expertise, ensuring the successful management and delivery of projects from start to finish. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee key site-based activities, manage contracts, and collaborate with various stakeholders.

Contract Manager Role and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee site operations and ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations, as well as managing the necessary applications for planning permissions, building control, and other relevant agreements.
  • Review project and contract PL documentation, working closely with Supervisory site staff. Experience with disability design and knowledge of the Equality Act 2010 is advantageous, though not mandatory.
  • Interpret and analyse written specifications, understanding the potential impacts of existing services and structures on the overall design.
  • Prepare basic CAD designs based on site surveys and provided specifications.
  • Manage the pricing and tender process, utilizing Schedules of Rates (SORs) or individually priced tenders, with a strong understanding of NHF SORs being essential.
  • Lead the valuation and final account processes with both clients and subcontractors.
  • Oversee the installation of wet rooms, accessible kitchens, and full house adaptation projects, from site setup through to completion.
  • Manage site teams in collaboration with the Supervisor, ensuring efficient execution and quality control.
  • Take responsibility for the commercial success of the projects, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and financial oversight.
  • Oversee interim valuations and final account agreements, ensuring all costs and payments are aligned with project deliverables.
  • Approve and manage subcontractor payments, ensuring effective budget control.
  • Resolve issues and disputes with clients and subcontractors, maintaining a positive working relationship with all parties.
  • Communicate effectively with high-level clients, Occupational Therapists, and End Users, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
  • Proficient in IT tools such as Microsoft Word and Excel to support project management and communication.

Contract Manager Skills and Experience:

  • Strong experience in contracts management, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
  • Expertise in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and designs.
  • Familiarity with disability design standards and the Equality Act 2010 is beneficial.
  • In-depth knowledge of NHF SORs and experience with pricing and tendering processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
