Contracts Manager - South East London
The Company
We are currently working with a London based main contractor that specialise in refurbishment and maintenance schemes across London and the Southeast.
Established over 80 years ago the company typicallyturns over between 10 million and 15 million and undertakes projects valuing between 100k and 1 million however they have worked on schemes in excess of 5 million.
They predominantly work with public sector clients including Local Authorities and Housing Associations on Education, Public Buildings and Healthcare schemes.
Project types: All types of internal and external refurbishment as well as extensions.
The Role
Our client is currently seeking to recruit a Contracts Manager to join their team in South London, you will be managing 4-7 projects simultaneously with the freedom to manage yourown diary.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing refurbishment and maintenance schemes, particularly in the public sector.
As the Contracts Manager you will be in charge of overseeing critical legal paperwork associated with construction ventures and ensuring swift and efficient resolution of any emerging issues.
Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Preparing tenders for clients and bids to help attract new business.
- Meeting with clients to discuss their requirements
- Working with third parties to ensure that everyone understands their roles and responsibilities
- Making sure projects meet technical standards and requirements
- Liaising with the client's representatives as well as the technical and financial staff, subcontractors, and legal teams supervising the final project invoice

- Acting as the main point of contact for clients, site staff and project managers
- Attending site meetings to monitor progress
- Producing plans and estimating budgets and timescales
- Discussing, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating the terms of business contracts
- Agreeing budgets and timescales with the clients
- Developing and presenting project proposals
