Overview: 
 
We are seeking two experienced and highly skilled Contracts Managers to join a leading construction firm known for its commitment to delivering high-quality social housing projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to oversee a variety of impactful initiatives, including tower block refurbishments, regeneration projects, and new builds. Your expertise will contribute to delivering projects aligned with critical decarbonisation initiatives, including the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF), aimed at improving energy performance in housing.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee the management of 4 to 5 projects concurrently, ensuring adherence to project timelines and construction programs. 

  • Ensure the highest standards of health and safety on-site, promoting a culture of safety across all teams. 

  • Lead and mentor site teams, creating clear communication channels and ensuring efficient reporting structures. 

  • Develop and maintain excellent client relationships, responding to their needs and ensuring expectations are met at every stage of the project. 

  • Demonstrate strong commercial awareness, managing cash flow and ensuring project profitability. 
    Ideal Candidate: 

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the social housing sector, with a focus on design and build (D&B) projects. 

  • Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and experience navigating the complexities of construction projects. 

  • Excellent leadership skills, with a history of managing teams to deliver projects on time and to a high standard. 

  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders. 

  • Previous experience managing projects valued between £2 million and £12 million, delivering within scope and budget.
