Freelance Contracts Manager, Social Housing
Location: Camden, London
Contract Type: interim/contract

A prominent social housing contractor is seeking a dynamic contract manager to oversee multiple projects in the Islington area. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards, while reporting directly to the Operations Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee planned and reactive maintenance, including boiler replacements, gas and heating systems, and kitchen and bathroom refurbishments.
  • Draft, review, and manage contractual agreements, ensuring documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Coordinate a team of circa 10 engineers across various sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining project schedules.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and housing associations to facilitate smooth project delivery.
  • Regularly visit sites to monitor progress, review safety standards, ensure quality control, and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Contribute toforecasting and planning by collecting data and preparing reports for stakeholders.
  • Focus on improving operational efficiency and productivity while keeping projects within budget and on time.

What You’ll Need:

  • In-depth knowledge of gas and heating systems and strong experience with compliance management.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-site teams in the social housing sector, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality delivery.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with housing associations and other stakeholders.
  • Experience in contract negotiation, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring that all contractual obligations are met.
