Role: Marine Contracts Manager

Location: Jersey, Channel Islands

Salary: 65,000 - 75,000 + Car Allowance + Package

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Marine Project Manager to take full responsibility for multiple marine civil engineering projects. This role involves leading a team of engineers, foremen, and direct labour while managing projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee projects ranging from minor works to 1-2m, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and manage project communications.
  • Develop and approve risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
  • Utilize Microsoft Project for contract scheduling and resource planning.
  • Lead pricing and cost control efforts, including direct negotiations with clients and suppliers.
  • Be a key stakeholder from initial design phase to handover
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff, fostering their development.

Required Skills:

  • Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record in managing teams.
  • Ability to think clearly under pressure and solve complex engineering challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills adaptable to a wide range of stakeholders.
