The Company
Our client is a highly respected, independent multi-discipline contractor with an impressive annual turnover of over 35m. Their diverse portfolio includes working on prestigious sites such as schools, museums, galleries, and universities, delivering excellence across the building services industry.

The Role
Due to sustained growth, our client is seeking an experienced M&E Contracts Manager to join their team. You will be responsible for delivering small to medium-sized projects from conception to completion. This role will require you to oversee all aspects of project management while ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations, driving profitability, and maintaining outstanding customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
Oversee the costing, tendering, and resource allocation for small to medium-sized projects.
Lead and supervise delivery teams, providing guidance on technical aspects of projects.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety systems, including IOSH Working/Managing Safely, PTW, and RAMS.
Conduct site inspections and collaborate with clients and design teams to ensure high standards of quality and compliance.
Prepare and present detailed reports and presentations to stakeholders.

About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:

Qualifications:

A minimum HNC in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
Experience: A proven track record in the M&E Project/Installation sector, with experience managing projects valued up to 1m.
Additionally, you will demonstrate:

Technical Knowledge: Strong mechanical or electrical expertise coupled with leadership experience.
Communication: Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Customer Focus: A commitment to client satisfaction and relationship building.
Problem Solving: Ability to resolve issues effectively, including financial and operational disputes.
Organisation: High levels of self-motivation and excellent organisational skills to meet deadlines.
Commercial Acumen: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage commercial disputes.
