Job Description:An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Legal Officer specialising in Planning and Property to join a dynamic team on a temporary basis. You will provide expert legal advice and guidance on property matters, supporting the Homebuy and Property Compliance teams to help achieve the council’s objectives and priorities.

In this role, you will also be expected to lead by example, modelling the council’s values and behaviours while working collaboratively with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders. Your contributions will help build a highly effective and sustainable organisation, strengthening the council's reputation for delivering great value to its residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on property matters, ensuring compliance and supporting the council’s Homebuy and Property Compliance teams.
  • Work collaboratively with various internal and external stakeholders to support council initiatives and goals.
  • Act as a role model for the council’s values, ensuring that these are reflected in your daily work and interactions.
  • Contribute to the development of a high-performing team and assist in building the council’s reputation for success.
