My client is seeking to recruit an organised Property Paralegal who is enthusiastic, diligent, self-motivated and team oriented. Our paralegal team supports a team of Partners and lawyers and assist in the process of high value, fast paced transactions with tight deadlines. Ideally you will have previous property experience including secured lending. We are seeking people who have an interest in joining a fast-paced team providing high level of client care and are looking for progress their career in this challenging but rewarding field.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

The provide support both legal and some administration to our team of qualified staff in their transactions and will include: -

  • File opening and onboarding of clients including KYC and due diligence.
  • Liaising with other solicitors, clients, and lenders.
  • Redemptions.
  • Further advances.
  • Drafting of documents from templates.
  • Property searches.
  • Land registry liaison.
  • Pre and post completion including land registry and companies house.
  • Scheduling of title deeds and associated documents.
  • Obtaining official copy register entries.
  • Some general administration such as photocopying, scanning, binding etc.
  • Assisting in the preparation of lease reports and other summaries.

In order to fulfil this role, we are seeking candidates with the following:-

  • Experience in a similar role.
  • IT literate with experience of using case / document management systems - knowledge of Proclaim would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Experienced in using Microsoft office systems.
  • Experience in using Adobe Pro, docusign and Thirdfort would be an advantage.
  • Excellent organisational skills including prioritisation, time management and diary management.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Client care focused.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Strong teamwork focus
  • Drive and ambition to progress through development and performance.

The ideal candidate will :-

  • Be educated to degree level.
  • Have passed the LPC or SQE 1.
  • Be a quick learner.
  • Be a strong team player who can also work independently as required.
  • Be able to prioritise work and managing sometime conflicting deadlines.
  • Have strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Be able to demonstrate when they have gone above and beyond in the pursuit of client care.
  • Have a strong interest in Property.
