About the Role:
We are in search of a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to play a key role in our kitchen operations. This individual will work closely with the Executive Chef and the ownership team to ensure a successful launch and maintain high standards of service and cuisine.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in kitchen management, capable of running a service and overseeing a team of 10.
- Expertise in Italian cuisine is crucial; knowledge of Arabic flavors is a valuable asset.
- Ability to manage stock, understand GPs, and lead staff training initiatives.
- Must be an all-rounder with a passion for cooking and maintaining high quality standards.
- Willingness to take full responsibility for the kitchen during the Executive Chef's absence and lead by example, including hands-on tasks.
Sous Chef Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to set up kitchen operations for the restaurant launch.
- Manage daily kitchen activities, including oversight of the culinary team, ensuring excellence in every dish.
- Develop and train kitchen staff, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Engage in stock management to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
