We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems in various settings. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to read and interpret schematics. The ideal candidate will possess excellent welding skills and be proficient in using power tools.

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair piping systems in accordance with specifications.
Weld pipes using Stick welding techniques and other methods as required.
Build and plumb piping systems to ensure proper alignment and functionality.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on existing piping systems.
Utilise power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and joining pipes.
Read and interpret technical schematics to determine project requirements.
Apply basic maths skills to calculate measurements and material requirements.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while adhering to safety standards.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role within the construction or manufacturing industry.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
Proficiency in welding techniques, particularly Stick welding.
Familiarity with power tools and their safe operation.
Ability to read and understand schematics related to plumbing systems.
Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
