Business Development Manager

  • Salary: £40k - £50k, depending on experience, + commission & bonus
  • Location: New Southgate, North London
  • Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday

We are on the hunt for a dedicated Business Development Manager with a background in the cleaning industry to spearhead our growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the cleaning business, particularly within commercial office environments, and will be adept at lead generation and client acquisition.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Conducting thorough surveys of potential business sites to assess cleaning needs and capacity.
  • Generating leads and converting them into long-term clients.
  • Understanding the nuances of cleaning various surfaces, such as carpets and hard floors.
  • Developing and implementing strategies for new business acquisition.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Negotiating contracts and closing deals to meet and exceed financial targets.
  • Collaborating with the operations team to ensure service delivery meets the highest standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in the cleaning industry, particularly in a business development or sales role.
  • Strong understanding of commercial cleaning variables and requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate leads and drive business growth.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven approach to business development.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
