Business Development Manager - Contract Cleaning

The Opportunity

We are a well-respected and family-owned Cleaning / Security and soft FM business with Offices UK wide. As a result of continued growth and our planned Europe wide strategy we are looking to grow our prestigious cleaning services division in London.

The Package

  • £65k - £75k Basic
  • £90K+ uncapped OTE

The Role of the Contract Cleaning Business Development Manager

To drive increase in contract cleaning sales revenues by the identification and execution of primarily self-generated new business opportunities that generate new sales and retained sales for the company including additional non-contractual business and sales in cleaning and facility services.

The BDM needs to work on four levels, ensuring that all activities are engaged at the same time to achieve positive results:

1) Generate and develop longer term contract cleaning prospects and ensure there is a top 20 prospect list; which will lead to eventual quotation opportunities.

2) Convert Self-generated and Marketing generated cleaning tender opportunities on a regular basis to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets

3) Work on tender opportunities in both the public and private sector, ensuring a pipeline of opportunities exceeds £6 Million in any three-month rolling period

4) Attending and converting the generated marketing appointments.

5) To achieve or exceed the individual sales target (£1.5m per calendar year), ensuring that the company’s profit and financial requirements are met.

6) Prospecting and researching for new business, and Identification of potential new business opportunities that are most likely to buy the companies services.

7) Take personal responsibility for the identification and development of a top 20 prospects (by size) in each sectoral target area

The Person

  • 3+ years’ experience of selling cleaning solutions
  • Proven success in new business acquisition within the contract cleaning or facilities

management sectors

  • Strong understanding of how to identify new business leads and be able to convert into tangible sales opportunities.
  • Experienced in researching and identifying suitable prospects by sector and size.
