Cobalt is representing a luxury retail brand that is looking to hire their first ever Head of Facilities for their European portfolio. You'll take ownership of delivering a first-class FM strategy across their resorts, providing oversight and leadership for the on-site teams across the continent, ensuring that a proactive approach is in place that is fit for the purpose of delivering a best-in-class experience for the millions of customers that know and love our clients brand.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Develop and implement global facilities management strategies to ensure consistency across all operations while adhering to group policies and standards.
  • Guide and support local Facilities Managers to optimize daily operations, promoting effective teamwork through regular cross-site communication.
  • Establish centralized monitoring systems to evaluate performance, facilitate the sharing of best practices, and inform strategic enhancements.
  • Lead sustainability initiatives to align with corporate environmental objectives, ensuring they are effectively implemented, monitored, and reported.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Construction on major capital projects, overseeing the planning and execution of maintenance and refurbishment efforts to meet organizational goals.
  • Ensure facilities meet both international and local safety, health, and environmental regulations, regularly updating corporate policies to align with current laws and best practices.
  • Streamline procurement processes to maximize economies of scale, maintain quality, and oversee vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with service level agreements and cost efficiency.
  • Deliver comprehensive reports to senior leadership on facilities performance, challenges, and strategic opportunities, using data-driven insights to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making.

Due to the seniority of this hire, our client is looking for a proven leader with a track record in delivering results across a multi-national portfolio. Experience within retail or hospitality would be favorable, but experience from any industry involving a high level of customer engagement and service would be considered strongly. You'll have a strong understanding of both hard and soft Facilities Management, and be confident in your ability to bring together a comprehensive total FM programme - identifying areas for innovation and improvement.

This role will involve frequent European travel, but you will have full control of your diary and movements.
