Join the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) in an exciting and impactful role as an External Trainer for the "New Met for London" programme. This initiative aims to reform and improve policing across London by focusing on community engagement, cultural sensitivity, and technological advancements. We are entering Phase 2 of the programme, which requires dedicated and qualified trainers to deliver in-depth training workshops.

  • Job Type: Full-time, Contract
  • Location: due to the nature of the role, travelling to various locations within London
  • Start Date: April 2025
  • Duration: Approximately 4 months (there may be possibilities of a further extension)
  • Pay rate: £250 per day PAYE or £320.38 per day Umbrella

Day to Day of the role:

  • Deliver training sessions on community engagement, cultural sensitivity, and the use of new technologies.
  • Work closely with a permanent facilitator to ensure effective delivery of training content.
  • Participate in any necessary upskilling training to stay aligned with programme goals.
  • Ensure all training materials and presentations are prepared and delivered to high standards.
  • Provide feedback and reports on training outcomes and participant progress

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must hold a Level 4 Educational qualification or TEP (Training Essentials Programme).
  • Previous experience in training delivery, ideally within a policing or public safety context.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and educate diverse groups effectively.
  • Must be available full-time, Monday to Friday, during core business hours.
  • Ability to travel to various training locations in London as required.
