Location: Lewisham, Southeast London (hybrid working available)

Contract: Permanent, 52 weeks a year, full-time - hours can be taken flexibly, hybrid working available,Trust Board and Committee meetings take place in the early evening and travel to the meetingsacross central and Southeast London is required

About this role:

The Trust is seeking a dynamic individual to join their central team, to work with Trustees and the Executive, in achieving their strategic and statutory responsibilities. Working alongside their Chair of Trustees, the CEO and the Central Governance, Compliance and Operations Team, you will support them in providing an excellent service for Governance across the Trust.

This will include Clerking for the Trust Board and its committees (People, Finance, Standards and Audit & Risk) and line management of the Clerks for Local Governance.

Qualifications, knowledge and experience required:

-At least 2 years of experience supporting Directors or Trustees at Board Level including writing agendas and accurate minutes

-Experience as a Governance Coordinator or Governance Professional

-Experience of working across a partnership of schools or across schools within a Multi-Academy Trust setting

-An understanding of Trustee responsibilities, the cycle of annual meetings and ability to plan meetings accordingly

-Level 3 certification in Clerking of School and Governing Boards (CGI) is desirable

-Level 4 certification in Academy Governance is desirable
