SEMH Teacher
Are you a passionate SEMH Teacher looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join our specialist school and support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The Role:
- As an SEMH Teacher, you will plan and deliver tailored lessons to support students with SEMH, ensuring a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Work closely with support staff, therapists, and SENCOs to implement individual learning plans and behaviour strategies.
- The SEMH Teacher will use trauma-informed and restorative approaches to manage behaviour effectively and promote emotional well-being.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, encouraging confidence, resilience, and academic progress.
The Ideal SEMH Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience as an SEMH Teacher.
- Strong understanding of SEMH needs and strategies to support students with emotional and behavioural challenges.
- Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students.
- Experience working in an SEN or alternative provision setting is desirable.
