ICT Apprenticeship Technical TrainerOverview:An established training organisation is looking for a Technical Trainer to deliver high-quality training for the Information Communication Technician and Network Engineering Apprenticeship pathways. This role involves delivering training primarily online, with occasional in-person sessions at the organisation’s London office. The trainer will collaborate with curriculum and support teams to ensure training materials reflect industry standards, employer expectations, and the Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours (KSBs) outlined by the IfATE Apprenticeship Standards. This role requires a proactive approach to adapting materials and teaching styles to meet diverse learning needs, fostering a supportive and interactive training environment.What you'll be doing?
  • Inspire and support learners in their professional development, encouraging independent learning.
  • Create an inclusive, interactive training environment that caters to diverse learning preferences, including those with additional support needs.
  • Effectively adapt to online teaching environments, utilising digital tools to enhance learner engagement and understanding.
  • Develop lesson plans and schemes of work aligned with Apprenticeship Standards and current industry practices.
  • Regularly update training content and resources to remain in line with industry trends and employer requirements.
  • Maintain awareness of Ofsted’s Education Inspection Framework (EIF) to deliver training that consistently meets high standards.
  • Record and report learner progress to management with professionalism and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with Apprenticeship and Career Support teams to provide targeted support for learners at risk.
  • Support all learners’ progress, using differentiated teaching approaches to address individual starting points and learning requirements.
  • Develop new learner-centred initiatives and training methods to improve learner outcomes.
  • Create tailored training plans that meet the needs of both apprentices and employers, adapting to evolving industry requirements.
  • Ensure the organisation’s reputation as a high-quality apprenticeship provider by incorporating learner feedback and continuous improvement practices.
  • Embed best practices related to Health and Safety, Safeguarding, Prevent Duty, and Equal Opportunities in all training activities.
  • Contribute to quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies such as Ofsted, ESFA, and IfATE.

  • Experience in designing structured learner progression pathways, including preparation for End Point Assessments (EPA).

  • Proficient in delivering constructive feedback that promotes learner growth and performance.
  • Excellent communication skills, adaptable to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and digital learning platforms, including Learner Management Systems (such as OneFile), MS Teams, and Virtual Learning Environments (VLE).
