Our client, a market-leading Patent and Trade Mark attorney firm with offices in London and across Europe, is seeking technically gifted Patent Attorneys with 1-10 years' PQE for their London office. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a true IP giant and work with some of the most exciting clients and innovators in the world.The firm works with a diverse range of UK, European, and international clients, from start-ups to some of the world’s largest corporations and prestigious academic institutions. They are also regularly instructed by attorney firms in the USA, Japan, China, and South Korea for their expertise in securing intellectual property protection across Europe.The team is composed of true experts as European and UK patent attorneys, managing patent portfolios, developing strategies, and handling thousands of applications. Supported by a talented team of associates and trainees, many with PhDs, they tackle every challenge in patent exploitation and defense. They stay up to date with global patent law, backed by experienced paralegals, robust IT systems, and rigorous risk management processes.Ideal candidate:
  • 1-8 years' PQE in a reputable IP practice.
  • STEM background (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related field of study).
  • Experience in patent drafting, prosecution, portfolio management, appeals, FTO analysis, SPCs, licensing and commercial agreements, infringement and validity opinions, and strategy counseling is desirable, though not all are necessary.
  • Experience with the EPO.
  • Patent Attorney qualified or Solicitor qualified.
The team regularly works with clients in pharma, AI, semiconductors, biologics, biotechnology and life sciences, electronics and electrical engineering, food, green energy, immunology, medical devices, microbiology, nanotechnology, optics, software, and IT, so a solid technological background is essential.
