The firm is dedicated to building strong relationships with clients and communities while embracing a dynamic, technology-driven approach to legal services.The OpportunityDue to ongoing growth, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a dual-qualified patent attorney to join their high-tech team in Glasgow or London. This role combines patent drafting, filing, and prosecution with due diligence for corporate transactions and litigation support. The team engages with cutting-edge technology areas and frequently participates in oral proceedings before the EPO.The firm prides itself on fostering a culture of continuous improvement and authenticity, promoting an inclusive environment.   • Manage a busy patent docket, including drafting, filing, and prosecution.
  • Provide due diligence support for corporate transactions and assist with litigation.
  • Engage in oral proceedings before the EPO.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across various legal and technical disciplines.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
  • A strong academic background in Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
  • A Master's and/or PhD in a relevant field, along with industry experience.
  • Single qualification as either a UK or European Patent Attorney, working toward dual qualification; or recently dual-qualified or dual-qualified within the last two years.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in developing knowledge of IP law and patent prosecution.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with experience working under tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility and effectiveness in teamwork, coupled with strong communication skills.
