SEND Case Officer

275 per day (inside iR35)

3-month contract

Hybrid - 2 days per week on site - 3 days remote

Spencer Clarke Group are recruiting several SEND Case Officers for our client, a local authority in Central London.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have previous experience working as a SEND officer for a local authority previously, for a minimum of 12 months.

As an SEN Officer you will ensure the EHC needs assessments are carried out in a timely way in collaboration with involved professionals and families.

The administration of the EHC needs assessment process is implemented in accordance with statutory guidelines:

  • Parents and professionals contribute advice in a timely way in relation to the statutory assessment of individual children and young people undergoing assessment
  • Assessment Co-ordinators, Planning and Placement Officers and other professionals including named staff in schools, early years and college settings are aware of deadlines and requirements
  • Parents are aware of and engaged in the process
  • All parental and practitioner advice is available, using agreed information management systems
  • Draft plans are written, in conjunction with Assessment Co-ordinators, in a timely way
  • Input by all involved professionals to the EHC needs assessment process is co-ordinated so that statutory timescales are met
