Salary - 80,000 - 100,000 per annum

Role Overview:

Our client who is in the FMCG sector, are looking for an experienced Senior/Legal Counsel to manage legal matters across the UK and internationally. The role involves safeguarding the company's reputation, ensuring compliance with regulations, mitigating legal risks, and providing legal advice on corporate transactions, regulatory issues, and commercial contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise on legal matters, including intellectual property, compliance, and litigation across jurisdictions.
  • Develop company policies on legal issues and manage risk.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to protect the company's legal interests.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and oversee labelling requirements.
  • Liaise with external parties such as regulators and external counsel.
  • Stay updated on changes in relevant legislation.

Requirements:

  • Qualified lawyer with 4/5+ years PQE
  • Strong experience in corporate transactions and commercial contracts.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail, with a focus on compliance and risk management.
  • Commercially minded, team player with strong ethics and integrity.
  • Experience in the alcohol industry is a plus.
