Caralex Recruitment Limited has been asked to recruit a Design Coordinator that can specialise solely on Fire Remediation projects.

The role will entail working retrospectively on existing buildings to evaluate fire safety and to report on compliance, and to review design of new buildings to ensure these meet Building Regulation and current guidelines.

The work is to appoint and manage different external consultants (architects, structural engineers, cladding & facade designers etc) and check that their designs are robust and issue them as necessary to internal departments such as commercial, technical and construction teams, and also to external statutory authorities etc.

You will have worked in a similar fire remediation role for a design consultancy, within the facades / cladding industry or within the construction industry in a design role for a main contractor or technical role for a residential developer. You will research and keep up to date with construction methods and building materials to make recommendations and raise any concerns.

The role is hybrid, with an office based in Surrey, site visits across London and the South East as required, and working from home when not attending meetings or sites.
