Design Director - Fashion Retailer

An established fashion retailer renowned for its premium menswear and womenswear collections has a rare and exciting opportunity for a Design Director with strong multi-product experience to head up their design team located in their London Head Office.

As the Design Director you will be responsible for leading the creation of all design concepts, driving brand strategy, overseeing range design and development and seasonal collections. You will work alongside the Buying, Merchandising, Garment Technologist, Marketing and Sales teams, and will be an important part of the management team reporting directly to the retailer's CEO whilst overseeing the design team.

To apply for this role, you must have previous design experience working at Head of Design or Director level for a leading premium, lifestyle or fashion retailer. Possessing strong design strategy management, range development and experience working with stakeholders. You must have exceptional team and people management, communication (verbal & written) and presentation skills, strong CAD and I.T skills using Microsoft Office and Adobe programs. Previous experience working with UK and international suppliers and factories, exceptional fabric and garment construction knowledge is highly essential.
