Our client is an international bank based in the City, seeking a Senior Credit Analyst to join their growing team. This role will involve evaluating credit proposals, with a focus on commercial real estate transactions, while ensuring that all credit decisions adhere to the bank’s policies and risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide detailed credit evaluation reports, analysing financial and non-financial risks, and making recommendations to mitigate key risks.- Review and challenge proposals from the Front Office, presenting independent credit opinions to the Credit Committee.- Monitor borrower performance, industry trends, and credit exposures, ensuring all covenants are adhered to throughout the loan life cycle.- Support senior management with timely risk analysis and suggest appropriate risk mitigation strategies.- Conduct annual reviews of existing customers and proactive monitoring for early warning signals.

Candidate Requirements:

- Minimum 7 years experience in a similar role- Strong financial analysis, projection, and stress-testing skills.

- Direct experience within 2nd line defence - Ability to assess and mitigate risks across various industries and sectors.- Exceptional problem-solving and negotiation skills, with a proactive and independent mindset.
