Credit Analyst (FTC 2 months)

Our client, a London based Bank, is seeking a Credit Analyst to join their team on a temporary basis.

Role:

  • To provide credit analysis and report on all transactions including financial institutions, corporate and country/sovereign risk analysis and appropriate recommendations to the Credit Committee
  • To carry out day to day credit administration and provide related management information
  • To review loan documentation as and when necessary as a second line of defence
  • Support risk, governance and foster appropriate corporate culture in the relevant areas of responsibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake credit risk analysis of individual transactions and annual reviews on financial institutions, corporates and country/sovereign transactions
  • Make recommendations/presentations to the Credit Committee, if and when necessary
  • Carry out day to day credit administration duties to enable effective monitoring of the loan portfolio
  • Assist in review of loan and security documentation and any post execution requirements as a second line of defence
  • Conduct geography, industry and sector analysis including credit concentration risk analysis
  • Assist in portfolio management, monitoring and MI reporting including daily excess reports
  • Support maintenance of credit assessment framework including internal credit policy and procedures
  • Foster a credit risk culture with the front line teams
  • Remain up to date with developments and practices in credit risk areas
  • Support the Head of Credit and Deputy CEO where necessary in credit and other ad hoc work

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

  • Strong credit and analytical skills with at least 5 years practical experience
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proactive and a self-starter with high motivation
  • Highly organised and flexible to undertake a variety of tasks with willingness to learn
  • Good Microsoft Office skills
