German Credit Analysts/ Senior Credit Analyst/ Team Lead - £ depending on exp level - London/hybrid

We are currently recruiting for our client, who continues to experience fast growth and expansion. Originally, an ambitious fintech start-up, they are now one of the fastest-growing and biggest business lenders in Europe.

You are required to have a native level of fluency in German for this role and we are offering various levels of Credit Analyst positions, from junior to senior level and also a Team Lead. The latter, would require both Credit Analyst and people management experience.

Day to day:

• To assess credit applications using a variety of data sources and the organisations tech platform as part of the decision making process.
• You will have a certain level of autonomy in the decision making process, which will increase and develop over time once you increase your knowledge of the role and processes required.
• You will support other analysts on larger and more complex decisions, which is a key part of the workflow.
• The credit decisioning is data driven. A large part of the role will be researching and analysing data. You will work alongside different internal teams working towards the same goal and in a collaborative spirit.

Requirements

• Between 2-4+ years experience in commercial loan underwriting, credit sanctioning or credit analysis within the UK SME sector
• Your experience will dictate the level of the role, i.e credit analyst or senior credit analyst
• For the Team Lead role, experience as a Credit Analyst and people management is essential
• Strong business acumen and a working understanding of the risk and revenue drivers that influence the creditworthiness of a loan application
• The ability to interpret & analyse financial statements
• An analytical mindset with a practical approach to problem solving.
• Excellent communicator and a team focused attitude, you will enjoy collaborating and also working independently.
• Native fluency level in German both written and spoken.
