Credit Controller

Salary: £29,000 to £33,000.

Hybrid role: 3 days in the office.

An industry-leading company with an excellent reputation for quality is now looking for a Credit Controller to join their accounts team and support their team in Southwest London.

This is an excellent hybridCredit Controller position where you can get involved with a friendly team and working on a cornerstone function of the business. The team are expecting to take on some interesting upcoming opportunities and you’ll have the chance to contribute and shape the team and its output. Apply now!

You’ll be joining a team of 2 other Credit Controllers, collecting outstanding money across many customer accounts, and using phone calls and email to contact debtors. The team are based in beautiful offices in Southwest London with excellent transport links, and prides itself on its collaborative and supportive atmosphere.

As the successful Credit Controller, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that all invoices & credit notes are raised, posted, and reconciled
  • Issuing monthly statements of accounts to all clients.
  • Collecting outstanding debt via telephone & email, reducing DSO.
  • Clearing the unallocated suspense account monthly.
  • Taking payments over the phone.
  • Data entry of all financial information onto Sage 200.
  • Negotiating payment plans with clients.
  • Prepare invoices, credit notes to retail customers and bank deposits.
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger.
  • Performing month-end bank reconciliations.

To be successful as our new Credit Controller you will:

  • Have excellent communications skills (written & verbal).
  • Have a track record of excelling in a credit control role.
  • Be a proficient user of MS Office Packages.
  • Ideally have a working knowledge of Sage 200.
  • Be an enthusiastic, target-driven individual with a passion for recovering debt whilst maintaining strong business relationships.
  • Ideally have had exposure to wholesale, retail or e-commerce environments.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary 29,000 to £33,000.
  • Monday - Friday 9am - 5:30pm.
  • Work From Home two days a week.
