An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Credit Controller to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in credit control within the broking or insurance industry, particularly with experience managing multi-class accounts across aviation, marine, and property. This is a full time permanent position, working in the office 3 days a week in Central London. The company offer exceptional company benefits, working arrangements and a clear progression pathway. Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and issue monthly broker statements.
  • Allocate received funds and request closings/slips from brokers.
  • Pursue outstanding debt via telephone, email, and meetings to secure timely payment.
  • Identify and escalate aged debt that requires a Notice of Cancellation (NOC).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal teams and external brokers.
  • Chair regular meetings with business units to address and resolve credit control issues.
  • Review and improve existing credit control processes to drive efficiencies.
  • Analyse and identify discrepancies in booked premiums, working with technical teams to correct errors.
  • Resolve unallocated cash and provide feedback on issues causing mispostings.
  • Manage and monitor the shared Accounts Inbox.
  • Support management with reporting, analysis, and ongoing process enhancements.
  • Assist accountants with the annual review and audit process.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience in a credit control role within broking or insurance is essential.
  • Experience working in an IBA function within a broking, insurer, or MGA environment.
  • Knowledge of multi-class accounts, including aviation, marine, and property.
  • Strong reconciliation skills and an understanding of broker accounting systems.
  • Experience working with multi-currency transactions.
  • Previous use of Eclipse would be beneficial.
  • Confident communicator, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships via telephone and email.
  • Proactive problem solver with excellent attention to detail.
