Due to expansion, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Credit Controller to join our finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, where you can truly make an impact.Role Overview:As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing our credit control processes, ensuring that payments are collected on time, and minimising the risk of bad debt. You'll be a key part of the finance team, helping us maintain smooth financial operations in a growing logistics business.Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices
- Chase overdue payments by phone, email, and letter
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies
- Prepare and maintain accurate reports on outstanding debts and payment status
- Work closely with the sales and finance teams to resolve any issues related to invoicing or payments
- Assisted with the credit management process, including setting credit limits for new clients
- Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
- Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc administrative tasks as needed
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in credit control or a similar finance role
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience working within the logistics or similar fast-paced industries is a plus.
- An AAT or similar accounting qualification is desirable, but not essential.
