Our client is seeking a Credit Controller to join their dynamic finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a hybrid setting, with three days in the office located in London. As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining members' accounts and minimising outstanding debts in accordance with relevant guidelines and procedures. What you'll do:
As a Credit Controller, your primary responsibility will be to maintain member accounts and minimise outstanding debts. You will be tasked with maintaining the accuracy of sales ledger accounts, liaising with Underwriters and claims handlers, and accurately allocating cash received. Your role will also involve minimising outstanding debts by ensuring regular statement dispatch and maintaining good working relationships with allocated members and relevant brokers. Additionally, you will process payments of commissions to brokers, deputise for other members of the Credit Control function as necessary, train new Credit Controllers, monitor Club Reinsurance invoice procedure, and process bank charges.
- Maintain the accuracy of sales ledger accounts for allocated members by checking and reconciling accounting entries.
- Liaise with Underwriters and claims handlers.
- Accurately allocate cash received and raise journal entries as required.
- Minimise outstanding debts due from allocated members by ensuring regular statement dispatch.
- Maintain good working relationships with allocated members and relevant brokers.
- Process payment of commissions to brokers in accordance with procedures.
- Deputise for other members of the Credit Control function as necessary.
- Train new Credit Controllers in department principles and procedures.
- Monitor Club Reinsurance invoice procedure and perform quarterly reconciliations between credit control system and underwriting systems.
- Process bank charges and perform monthly reconciliations to ensure records are updated.
What you bring:
