Credit Controller
Location: Whitechapel, hybrid working with 1 day per week (Tuesday) in the office and the rest working from home
Job Type: Temporary for 8 weeks
Pay: £18.75 per hour plus £2.26 per hour holiday pay
Working hours: 9am - 6pm, Monday to Friday

Charity People are working with a non-profit organisation which advocates for businesses that prioritise social and environmental impact. It fosters global collaboration, promotes equitable systems, and redefines business success to benefit all. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Temporary Credit Controller to join their finance team to support with a backlog.
You will be responsible for supporting credit control processes, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, and maintaining strong customer relationships. This role requires excellent communication skills, as well as a strong understanding of credit management principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Chase outstanding invoices via phone, email, and written correspondence to ensure timely payments.
- Monitor customer accounts to identify overdue payments and take appropriate action.
- Maintain accurate records of all credit control activities, including follow-ups and payment commitments.
- Investigate and resolve customer disputes related to invoicing and payments.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure accurate invoicing and payment allocations.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a credit control or accounts receivable role.
- Strong understanding of credit management principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
