Day-to-day of the role:- Assist the Finance team in managing day-to-day credit control operations, including recording customer payments, updating debtor ledgers, and reconciling bank statements.
- Prepare and maintain regular reporting, such as aged items, outstanding portfolio, and credit reviews in a timely manner.
- Process and track customer payments, review and validate remittances, and follow up on debit notes or sales admin transactions.
- Assist with the preparation of customer information, internal reporting, and preparation of credit decisions, as needed.
- Review new customer applications and capture records in the accounting system.
- Provide additional support to the Finance team outside of credit control responsibilities as required, such as supporting book-keeping activities to maintain and organize financial documents and records in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- A good knowledge of SAP, particularly FI and AP, AR modules.
- Basic knowledge of Xero is beneficial.
- Prior experience in credit control, preferably in a confectionery or food manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of basic credit control procedures, like aged items reporting, etc.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
