Join a leading confectionery company as a Credit Control Assistant, where you will be instrumental in supporting our Finance department. This role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys working in a dynamic environment, and is keen on growing their career in finance.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assist the Finance team in managing day-to-day credit control operations, including recording customer payments, updating debtor ledgers, and reconciling bank statements.
  • Prepare and maintain regular reporting, such as aged items, outstanding portfolio, and credit reviews in a timely manner.
  • Process and track customer payments, review and validate remittances, and follow up on debit notes or sales admin transactions.
  • Assist with the preparation of customer information, internal reporting, and preparation of credit decisions, as needed.
  • Review new customer applications and capture records in the accounting system.
  • Provide additional support to the Finance team outside of credit control responsibilities as required, such as supporting book-keeping activities to maintain and organize financial documents and records in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A good knowledge of SAP, particularly FI and AP, AR modules.
  • Basic knowledge of Xero is beneficial.
  • Prior experience in credit control, preferably in a confectionery or food manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of basic credit control procedures, like aged items reporting, etc.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
