A respected further education college in South London is seeking a dynamic and experienced Curriculum Manager in Electrical Installation to lead and develop an exciting, industry-relevant curriculum. As Curriculum Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of students, ensuring the delivery of high-quality electrical installation training across all levels. You will oversee the development, review, and continual improvement of the curriculum, while also managing and mentoring a team of lecturers and supporting students throughout their academic journey.

We are looking for someone with a deep understanding of domestic, commercial, and industrial electrical systems, as well as leadership experience in the education sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development & Management: Lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of the Electrical Installation curriculum across Levels 1, 2, and 3, ensuring it meets industry standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Team Leadership & Staff Development: Manage and support a team of Electrical Installation lecturers, providing leadership, guidance, and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching quality and student outcomes.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the effective implementation and adherence to the College's quality assurance processes, including lesson observations, assessments, and student feedback, to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

  • Industry Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with the electrical and construction industries to ensure the curriculum stays relevant and up-to-date with industry trends, standards, and emerging technologies.

  • Assessment & Monitoring: Oversee the assessment processes, ensuring that assessments are valid, reliable, and fair. Monitor student progress and achievement, providing support where necessary to ensure the best outcomes for all learners.

  • Work Placement Management: Coordinate and monitor work placements for students, ensuring they are safe, structured, and provide valuable learning experiences aligned with the curriculum.

  • Innovation in Learning & Teaching: Champion the use of innovative teaching methods and digital technologies to enhance the learning experience, ensuring that the curriculum remains engaging and effective for all learners.

  • Compliance & Accreditation: Ensure that all courses and qualifications comply with awarding body standards, government regulations, and college policies.

  • Budget & Resource Management: Manage resources for the Electrical Installation department, ensuring the efficient use of budgets, equipment, and facilities.

  • External Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the College in external meetings and forums related to the electrical installation industry, maintaining strong ties with employers, regulatory bodies, and other educational institutions.
