Our client, an organisation committed to providing outstanding customer service, is seeking a Customer Service Advisor to join their team. This is a temporary position offering a competitive hourly rate of £18.04. As a Customer Service Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional service to customers and guiding them through their service requests.

Responsibilities:

Provide efficient and timely service to customers with service requests, directing them to the required services when necessary.Promote and facilitate the use of online services to our clients' residents, enabling self-service options.Offer comprehensive, high-quality information and advice service to customers over the phone, via email, and other social media channels.Provide face-to-face support as required by our client.Offer comprehensive information and advice on various services supported by Customer Services, including Environment, Planning, Pollution, Pest, Parks, Housing repairs, and Parking.Log all enquiry and contact details accurately using our client's ICT systems, ensuring equal access to appropriate services.Provide information and guidance on our client's policies, procedures, and guidelines.Assist customers in navigating self-serve and online services.Engage with customers to identify the nature of their query and offer additional information and advice as relevant.Handle difficult and potentially confrontational issues with sensitivity and professionalism.Stay updated on self-serve and other system developments, as well as relevant information within our client's organisation.Report any discrepancies or system faults to the Team Leader.Support and assist other team members, providing cover when required.Process payments in compliance with guidelines and regulations.Perform administrative tasks associated with specific service requests.Promote and guide customers in utilising our client's website for self-service.Undertake regular training to expand and update knowledge of our client's operations.Assist in the induction and training of new staff.Carry out other similar duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

Excellent communication and customer service skills.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Proficiency in using ICT systems and willingness to learn new systems.Knowledge of council services, policies, and procedures (training will be provided).Ability to handle difficult customer interactions with empathy and professionalism.Willingness to undertake regular training and stay updated on organisational developments.Flexibility to provide cover as required.
