Boxcar Group is looking for an Assistant Baker to support the night baking team across Boxcar Baker & Deli and Boxcar Bread & Wine (new opening).

The Assistant Baker role:
Maintain impeccable attention to detail in all aspects of baking, ensuring consistency and excellence in every product.
Understanding of food preparation techniques for both sweet and savoury items.
Follow established recipes and production schedules.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen and bakery area.
Efficiently producing artisan bakery products in a high-volume production set up.
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Adhere to food safety standards and regulations.
Help with inventory management and stock rotation.
Self-starter: Ability to operate effectively with a positive attitude
Nightshifts working11pm-8am
What Were Looking For in an Assistant Baker:
Previous experience as a baker, with a demonstrated ability to produce high-quality baked goods.
Passion for baking and traditional baking techniques.
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering products of the highest standard.
Ability to work autonomously and manage your time effectively, especially during solo shifts and night working
Positive mind-set, especially when under pressure
Flexibility to work shifts including weekends, night shifts and early mornings.
