The Business

The role is hybrid with 3 days expected in-office and 2 work from home.

The Role:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-orientated Data Analyst to join an exciting, dynamic, and bustling business in the VFX industry. This position reports directly into a Pipeline Director and works closely with the Head of Finance, Head of Production, and Director of Operations- giving you exposure to quite senior and capable members of the team to learn from. The multidepartment exposure of this role means you have great oversight across a cutting-edge creative business, which would excite any and all film and TV lovers.

While there is a lot of cross-functional support, this is a sole data role, which provides you with the autonomy to collaborate freely, work independently, and grow within this role however you'd like.

The ideal candidate will have strong Python script writing experience with 6-12 months of working experience in a data analytics role. The ability to communicate across creative and qualitative personalities is important, so good communication skills are key here. They're looking for someone who is ambitious, a go-getter, and eager to take initiative. You have a real opportunity to add value to the business in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Present weekly and monthly project tracking reports to members of the senior management team, provide data analysis to support business performance
  • Track projects from bidding to delivery, monitor costs, and refine bidding processes
  • Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and suggest process improvements
  • Forecasting and tracking rendering capacity
  • Maintaining dashboards for live project tracking
  • Work closely to support Finance, Operations, Production, and Pipeline teams
  • Data and database management, ensuring all departmental data is being sourced properly to ensure accurate reporting
  • Maintain live dashboards to track project progress, generate weekly internal and external reports, and ensure all financial documents are kept up to date
  • Identify inefficiencies, troubleshoot challenges, and develop improvements to tools and reporting systems that enhance workflow across all departments
  • Provide python script writing support to improve internal systems
  • Ad hoc tasks to support the wider business

What we need to see (essential):

  • At least 6 months-1 years' experience in data analytics
  • Proficiency in Python and script writing and Microsoft Excel
  • A passion for the film and TV industries - previous experience in the wider creative industries is a bonus!

Salary: £30,000-£40,000

Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days work from home)
