London Based Investment Bank seek a Data Analyst, you will have experience of financial regulatory environment and requirements for managing and retaining data. A background involving regulation of data and process. Knowledge of object storage solutions, archiving solutions and / or similar technologies. Producing and maintaining documentation. Ability to interact with business stakeholders and technical staff at all levels. Ability to provide business end user software support. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. You will need to understand networks as well, any scripting language (Unix/Linux/Python etc). Knowledge of architecting and deployment of long term off-line, near-line and on-line data retention solution. Data lifecycle and information lifecycle principles. Working Knowledge of Agile and the SCRUM framework. Knowledge of financial regulatory environment and requirements for managing and retaining data ie technical skills and knowledge of data control and retention, underpinned by experience of data control in a regulated environment. Responsibility to manage data retention and control for the bank. Responsibility to set retention of data in backups, archives and on-line stores based on input from data owners and the relevant business lines. Manage IT aspects of data collection, gathering and delivery for global and local investigations supporting business departments such as Compliance and Legal. Manage the effective archiving and search of data stored in data archive. Effectively manage the interfaces of archives and backups ensuring consistency of retention. Support the ongoing baseline backup storage infrastructure for the bank. This firm offer hybrid working 2 days a week in their London Offices. Salary upto £80,000 + Bonus and Benefits
