Our client, a leading organization in finance, technology and financial news sector, is looking for a diligent and highly motivated individual to join their dynamic Global Money Markets Team. This is a temporary contract for 6 months with an immediate start date and would suit a candidate with a strong analytical mind and demonstratable interest in financial markets.

As a Money Markets Data Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing and enhancing the quality and accuracy of Money Markets data. You will also support the onboarding of new data sources and help scale operations to handle increased volumes efficiently.

Applicants should have demonstrable interest in money markets & financial markets in general, prior experience within customer service, extremely good communication skills and be confident to engage with finance professionals over the phone. Ability to multi-task, attention to detail and ability to maintain focus and motivation while working in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and oversee manual data setups, which are projected to increase with the onboarding of new critical markets.
  • Manage large volume of daily Euroclear remediations and ensure timely resolution.
  • Facilitate the monthly creation of index tickers for new Money Market curves.
  • Address client requests, along with escalations from key clients regarding timeliness of Money Market securities creation.
  • Conduct a full audit and cleanup of large amount of data for Money Market programs to ensure data accuracy.
  • Validate and update critical data points such as minimum piece sizes, day counts, active/inactive flags, paying agent details, etc.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure automation processes are not hindered by incomplete or inaccurate data.
  • Support the onboarding of new data sources and manage the expected initial spike in manual workloads.
  • Work closely with global stakeholders to ensure data consistency and compliance with business priorities.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Background in financial data management, audit, or similar fields.
  • Prior experience in Money Markets is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions.
  • Interest in developing technical aptitude to support process automation.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with global stakeholders and addressing client escalations.
  • Ability to manage high volumes of work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, task-oriented, and high degree of professionalism and integrity.
  • Take ownership and be proactive with key areas of responsibilities.
  • Motivation to grow and develop within the organisation and strong desire to progress.
