Financial Data Analyst - Alternate Investment Fund - (German / French Speaker)
Our client, a global leader in the finance industry, is seeking a highly motivated French/German speaking individual along with fluency in English to join their dynamic team. This is a temporary contract until the end of December 2025 (likely to be extended) with an immediate start date and would suit a candidate with a strong analytical mind and demonstratable interest in financial markets.This is a great opportunity for recent graduates to begin their career within a leading organisation in the technology and finance industry. The project will involve working on large datasets, performing data quality checks and procurement of documentation data from market providers.The successful candidates should have strong prior experience working with data and performing data manipulations and data quality checks. They should express strong interest in alternate investment funds and financial markets in general.
Responsibilities:
- Performing data quality checks of financial data
- Sourcing and validating documentation data from market providers and publishing of the data to our client's internal software
- Updating and processing data onto the database adhering to time sensitivity
- Applying problem-solving skills to enhance processes and software
- Take ownership and be proactive with key areas of responsibilities
Requirements:
- Fluency in French or German in addition to English
- Bachelor or/and Master's degree in Finance/Economics or equivalent work experience
- Practical experience in data research and ability to derive information from public sources
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must and experience with programming languages is preferred
- Prior experience / strong knowledge and understanding of alternate investment fund and finance in general
- Ability to think critically and demonstrate examples of improving or developing processes
- Strong organization skills with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously within tight deadlines
- Effective project management skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast pace changing environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills demonstrated in client facing environment
- Ability to interact with leading finance professionals
- Strong attention to details
