Power BI Developer - London - £75,000 FTC

I am currently working with a well-established organisation within the education sector who are looking for a Power BI Developer to join their established IT team. You will join the business at the time of a major data platform upgrade. You will take responsibility for taking data from the Azure Data Warehouse and creating insightful Power BI reports to aid data-driven decision making.

You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure you can provide them with the information they need to improve business performance. Due to the major data platform upgrade, you will have the opportunity to work with some of the latest cloud technologies including data manipulation work with Databricks.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for some of the following areas.

  • Create and develop reports and dashboards using Power BI
  • Undertake data modelling and data cleansing activities
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders in order to fully understand business needs and reporting requirements

This is a salaried role paying up to £75,000 per year depending on experience where you will be employed on a fixed term contract basis. In this role you will work on a hybrid basis from the organisations Central London office 3 times per week. There is also a company benefits package which includes generous holiday allowance, a contributory pensions scheme and training programmes alongside other benefits.

To be successful in this role you will have.

  • Strong Power BI experience
  • Strong SQL knowledge
  • Understanding and experience with DAX functions and calculations
  • Experience working in an Azure environment or with Databricks would be beneficial
