Our client is a leading, innovative data centre services provider, who offer colocation and cloud services to diverse businesses and hyperscalers globally. Sustainability is at the heart of their business, with the majority of their operations powered by renewable energy.


They are growing rapidly and are looking to hire a data center technician / remote hands technician (network connectivity, server hardware, software apps) toprovide technical assistance and support to their customers, while also assisting in the maintenance and operation of the data centre infrastructure. This role will suit someone with strong communication and customer facing skills alongside hands-on technical support experience, gained in a data centre environment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Providing support as a customer facing data centre technician - triaging tickets, resolving incidents, and proactively supporting customers.
  • Coordinating with internal teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Inventory management, including tracking equipment and supplies, conducting audits, maintaining, and replenishing stock as needed.
  • Monitoring infrastructure and responding to alerts or alarms to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of customer interactions, technical issues, and resolutions using a ticketing system.
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as equipment audits and upgrades, installations, cable management, patching.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on customer support processes, tools, and procedures.


To be successful in this role you must have:


  • At least 1 years' experience working in a technical support role in a data centre environment.
  • Solid knowledge of networking principles, server hardware, patching
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, including experience with diagnostic tools and utilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with customer support tools and systems, such as ticketing systems, monitoring tools, and remote support technologies.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) are a plus.
