Role Overview:
As a BIM Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes across the entire project lifecycle. You'll lead the implementation of BIM standards, oversee the development and delivery of BIM Execution Plans (BEP), and work closely with project teams to ensure the successful integration of the Common Data Environment (CDE). You will be the key driver of ISO 19650 standards and ensure that the Level of Information Need (LOIN) is met throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) in line with project goals and ISO 19650 standards.

  • Oversee the integration of Common Data Environment (CDE) systems, ensuring seamless information flow between project teams.

  • Manage the Level of Information Need (LOIN) for each project phase, ensuring all project information is accurate, accessible, and meets project-specific requirements.

  • Lead the coordination and integration of various BIM tools and platforms (Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, etc.) for efficient project delivery.

  • Conduct clash detection using Navisworks to identify design conflicts and collaborate with teams to resolve them.

  • Implement and maintain COBie (Construction Operations Building Information Exchange) for data handover to facility management teams.

  • Ensure compliance with ISO 19650 standards for BIM processes and data management.

  • Provide training and guidance to the BIM team and project stakeholders, promoting continuous improvement in BIM practices.

  • Lead and support the setup and maintenance of the Common Data Environment (CDE), ensuring proper data management and sharing across teams.

  • Stay updated with the latest industry developments and advancements in BIM technology.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Strong expertise in BIM Execution Plans (BEP), ISO 19650 standards, and the Level of Information Need (LOIN) methodology.

  • Proficiency with Navisworks, Revit, COBie, and BIM 360.

  • Extensive experience with Common Data Environment (CDE) and data management practices.

  • Solid understanding of COBie for data exchange and operations management.

  • Proven track record of implementing and managing BIM processes for complex projects.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
