A leading investment bank in London is seeking a Big Data Developer with expertise in Python and Hadoop for a contract position that operates in a hybrid environment and is inside IR35.
The role requires over 3 years of hands-on advanced coding skills in Python, along with advanced SQL development and experience with Unix/Linux scripting.
Candidates should have experience in developing and modeling with Big Data tools such as Scala, Spark, Impala, and Hive, as well as designing production data pipelines.
Experience in investment banking functions and datasets is essential, and candidates should be articulate and confident in their interactions with business users.
The position offers a competitive salary, and while not mandatory, familiarity with reporting tools like Tableau and a good understanding of the Investment Banking Risk Domain are considered beneficial.
