About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Developer to join a growing team responsible for supporting critical financial operations. You will be instrumental in managing and optimising on-premise data solutions, ensuring efficient data flow, and providing analytical insights that support business needs.

The ideal candidate will be well-versed in SQL Server, SSIS, ETL, and have a solid understanding of financial services/insurance data processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring smooth data integration and supporting peak quarterly activities related to financial liability coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain on-premise SQL Server data warehouse solutions.
  • Develop and manage ETL pipelines using SSIS.
  • Collaborate with teams to optimize financial data models and reporting.
  • Support quarterly peak periods with critical data processes.
  • Work with the team to develop proof-of-concept solutions and explore modern cloud-based technologies.
  • Provide data solutions that support the analytics and business intelligence needs of the organisation.

Essential Skills

  • Strong experience with SQL Server data warehousing, including ETL development using SSIS.
  • Proficiency in VBA and Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Financial Services/Insurance industry experience.
  • Familiarity with Power BI for reporting and analytics.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects in a small team environment.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with cloud platforms, such as Azure Databricks, and data integration tools.
  • Exposure to Agile working methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to mentor team members.
